A must see location on Lanzarote is the Cueva de los Verdes on the eastern side of the island. If you do go make sure you wear good shoes and be prepared to stoop quite low in some parts. It is well worth a visit and the guide will explain how it was formed and how it is entwined into the history of the people of the island.
